Its they nature to behave following only empiric truths, or at least those they foolishly consider as such. An advice is a simple formal reiteration of an all ready formed point of view. You may tell someone not to do something, you even may try to influence their opinion, or just force their thoughts into a river of conclusions that may lead them to your conclusions. Finally any consequences, good or bad, will fall to the one doing the backstage work. In the end, no one will assume responsibility, nor apply the knowledge gained in future circumstances, unless it has been their own decision the responsible for the final outcome.
